Training and education for Kāpō

Kāpō Māori Aotearoa is not a training provider. Programs offered focus on the well-being of our members. We provide First Aid training through St John, and Tino Rangatiratanga (Self Determination) through Communication Wānanga.

There have two programs for kāpō members. We encourage whānau members and people within your support network to participate too.


First Aid

Become a certified first aider with St John’s Basic Life Support and Level 1 course, designed for the visually impaired. The course is taught verbally with non-visual application.


Attaining Tino Rangatiratanga (Self Determination) through Communication

Designed for 18 to 25 year-olds, Rangitahi helps to develop and enhance knowledge of communication and Te Ao Maori principles and practices.
