Nigel Ngahiwi, President
Of Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Pare-te-kawa and Ngāti Ngutu descent Nigel has been a member of Te Tumuaki since 2001. Nigel has a Bachelor of Literary Performing Arts, Diplomas in Te Reo Māori and Māori and Management and is currently studying for a Masters in Matāuranga Māori. Music, Māori performing arts, education and tinkering with electronic gadgets are among Nigel’s other interests.

Chair Of Ngāti Porou, Te Whanau-a-Apanui descent Maaka is a founding member of Ngāti Kāpo, and has been a member of Te Tumuaki since 2001. Maaka has a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Diploma of Business. In 1992 he was awarded the Cyril White Memorial Trust Award and the Sir Winston Churchill Fellowship Award and in 2002 became a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the community, disabilities.

Of Nga Puhi descent Stevie was appointed to Te Tumuaki as Treasurer at Hui a Tau 2005. Stevie is a member of Ngāti Kāpo ki Otautahi roopu having held the positions of Treasurer and Vice Chairperson. Stevie is a keen sports enthusiast with particular interests in rugby, cricket and golf.
Gaylene Te Rauna, Executive
Of  Tuhoe descent Gaylene was appointed to Te Tumuaki in June 2008, Gaylene is actively involved with Te Upoko o te Ika Roopu and currently holds the position of Secretary. Gaylene comes to NKOAI from Te Puni Kokiri National  Office in her position as PA to the CEO. Gaylene has taken up a newly appointed challenge with Ministry of Health.
Pura Parata, Executive
Of Ngai Tahu, Ngati Kahungunu, Rangitane Iwi. Pura was appointed to Te Tumuaki as Executive Member at the 2007 Biennial Conference, held in Paihia. Pura is a current member of Ngati Kapo and is actively involved with Ngati Kapo ki Otautahi Roopu.Pura hails from a background in Maori Land Court and comes to NKOAI with a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the whenua. Pura sits on various councils and currently represents Ngaati Kaapoo on the RNZFB 2020 forum.
